Which films are nominated?
All current feature-length films shown in the regular film programme of DOK.fest München 2023 in cinemas and/or online are nominated for the kinokino Audience Award – donated by BR and 3sat. Excluded are older films, which we show as part of our retrospective series Homage and Retrospective, the series of the section DOK.serie, the films of the section DOK.special, the screenings in the Great Hall of Deutsches Theater as well as the feature-length films of the Student Award.
How does the voting work?
After you have seen a film in the cinema, you can put your ticket in the kinokino boxes provided at the exit and thus vote for the film. You can also vote for a film online: Via a pop-up window in the video window, you have the opportunity to give up to five points. If you give several ratings during the course of the film, only the last one given is taken into account.
In addition to the average number of "stars" awarded, the total number of ratings per film is also included in the ranking.
Voting for the Audience Award through cinema voting ended on Saturday, 13 May 2023 with the last screenings.
Voting for the Audience Award through online voting ended on Friday, 19 May 2023 at 12.00pm.
