Cinema: Schule des Sehens 2023

In a 90-minute workshop, your students get to see an age-based short documentary on the big screen. Based on teamwork assignments, the students answer various questions relating to topic as well as style of the respective film. Thereby, children and young people learn how to read film in a sophisticated way. On the other hand, they learn through play to use audiovisual media critical yet self-confident.

The documentaries we choose narrate at eye level and with artistic standards from the perspective of young people. The workshops are organized by media pedagogically trained film experts and are most of the time accompanied by a filmmaker.

During the 38th DOK.fest München in May 2023, 27 cinema workshops took place at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film Munich and Gasteig. Take a look at the impressions from the cinema with FOLLOWING VALERIA: See the photo gallery

The educational programme of Schule des Sehens is only available in German language.
