ALPENLAND

Austria 2022 – Director: Robert Schabus – Original language: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese – Subtitles: English, German – Length: 88 min.

“Back to nature” in the mountains? Not a chance! Alpine idylls are usually only found in estate agents’ brochures. The only thing that counts is resource-intensive mass tourism against a backdrop of artificially arranged mountain panoramas, for which tons of earth is excavated so that there are enough reservoirs to supply the snow cannons. A startling depiction of the state of the Alps. Simon Hauck
