A wasp abducts a bee from a spider’s web: this thriller set in the wild garden of the filmmaker duo Lataster-Czisch/Lataster is almost as gripping as a Wallander adaptation. The pandemic restrictions led the couple to concentrate their camera on the meticulous exploration of their own microcosm of neighbourhood, plants and insects – in their typically insightful and precisely observed way. Biography
Director and writer Petra Lataster-Czisch and cinematographer Peter Lataster have been working together since 1989. In 2001 they founded the production company Lataster&Films, which has produced award-winning documentaries and dance films. Both are members of the Oscar Academy.
