Jakob Krese

Jakob Krese Weidner grew up between the former Yugoslavia and Germany. He studied cinematography and directing at the Babelsberg Film University, Konrad Wolf, at the University of the Arts in Havana, Cuba and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia.Since 2018 he has been working as a cinematographer, director, writer and producer of creative documentaries. His films have screened at internationally renowned festivals such as IFFR Rotterdam, Vision du Reel, Palm Springs and Busan and won numerous awards. His first feature-length documentary LO QUE QUEDA EN EL CAMINO is currently on a successful festival tour and will be released in North American and Brazilian cinemas in summer 2023.
