Paul Sonntag

Paul has been working as a filmmaker since 2012. He received a BA from Columbia University in 2015, majoring in architecture and minoring in photography and studying abroad at FAMU, Prague, and LA FÉMIS, Paris. Since 2016 he has been enrolled in the cinematography track at Filmakademie. VADIM OTTO URSUS, an intimate portrait of a young chef, was his first short doc as a director. In 2021 he portrayed the deaf artist Christine Sun Kim and her circle of friends in THE LANGUAGE OF FRIENDS for the NYTimes. Currently he is developing a doc series at Studio Airlift and works on his first feature INFILL.
