Knut Schmitz

Born 1969 in the north-west of Germany, he finished school in 1988. After some jobs in the media business in Munich, Knut studied cinematography at the „Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg“ in Ludwigsburg, some of his teachers were Lutz Konermann, Thomas Erhardt and Michael Ballhaus. Since then, he completed many awarded documentaries and feature films as director of photography. Knut lives in Berlin and works all over the world.
