Dheeraj Akolkar

Dheeraj Akolkar is an award-winning writer, director and producer from India, living in the UK. He is the founder of a London based production company, Vardo Films. He has 15 years of experience and a current slate of 3 fiction and 2 non-fiction films in various stages of development and production. His most recent film 'Liv Ullmann ~ A Road Less Travelled' premiered in 2023 at the 76th Festival de Cannes as an official selection in the Cannes Classics category. Dheeraj is one of the co-founders of a charity, GRACE, based in the UK and working internationally in post-conflict societies for historically marginalized communities with special focus on children born of sexual violence in wars.
