Award ceremony ARRI AMIRA Award

For his outstanding camera performance for Tatiana Huezo's film TEMPESTAD, Ernesto Pardo is honoured with the ARRI AMIRA Award, worth 5,000 Euros. Moderation: Prof. Michael Leuthner, free entrance for festival passholders

Jury decision

"The outstanding camera work by Ernesto Pardo gives the audience scope to associate with something inconceivable that has still happened. Through their natural closeness and intimacy with the foreign woman, the concrete and apparently simple images create a puzzling blend of dream, nightmare and reality."

The ARRI AMIRA Award

For the first time in 2016, the ARRI AMIRA Award celebrates the documentary film camera. The award is worth 5,000 Euros and unique in the German-speaking area.

Through the ARRI AMIRA Award, DOK.fest Munich and ARRI strengthen their cooperation. The award owes its name to AMIRA, a one-man documentary film camera made by ARRI. Filmmakers have taken AMIRA to the Mount Everest or Sub-Sahara. Apart from documentary films, AMIRA is also used for other cinema productions.
