In Cuba, Yoani Sánchez blogs about the Cubans’ difficult everyday lives and criticises the ruling political system. In China, Zeng Jinyan lives under house arrest, cut off from the outside world. But the ‘Great Firewall of China’ can also be overcome. In Iran, Farnaz Seifi’s writing challenges discrimination and taboos. This is why she must leave Iran.
