DOK.music Open Air
Summer, sun and then, in the evenings, sound. DOK.music – OPEN AIR collates different music styles and charismatic artists. Incidentally the five films tell stories of life and love (and not only of music). We visit blues legends in the southern states, dance tango in Argentina and travel into the past, present and future of German hip hop with a crowd of illustrious protagonists. Two films are dedicated to the memory of great musicians: Ziggy Stardust goes to his grave and the best soul singer – at least of the past three decades - shakes her beehive once more.
On five evenings, DOK.music takes place in the courtyard of the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film. Entrance is free. AMY, the portrait of Amy Winehouse, which won the Oscar for the Best Documentary this year, will open the section on Monday, May 09, at 9.30 pm, (DOK.special).
