Munich Premieres
In Munich Premieres we focus on documentary films from Munich and the surrounding area. On offer are current productions from young and established filmmakers. A particular highlight of the section is that the film teams attend the screenings and personally present their work.
This year the Munich premieres stay in the region and look into the distance. The filmmakers take us to the land of their childhood and through Israel’s eventful history. They celebrate the birthday of a jazz legend and follow a regional music and cultural festival. From an outdoor stage in Munich we are taken directly into the bedrooms of Europe. And the traditional business of weapons manufacturing and a German-Chinese infrastructure project bring global politics into the programme.
