The forum gradually developed into a trading platform for new projects - internationally renowned program highlights, workshop discussions and media policy debates are taking place publicly as well as in exclusive private settings. Here, editors, producers amd directors come together, in order to exchange ideas and concepts regarding new films.

When a festival constitutes not only an event for presenting current works and cinemtatic narration starts providing incentives for not only watching, but also for actively narrating, then the Forum seeks to provide what the documentary film currently represents: participating and experiencing.
