Georg Anthony Svatek

Georg Anthony Svatek grew up at the foot of the Austrian Alps, where he became deeply awed by the living world. Moving to New York City his passion turned into an inquiry about the way people’s understanding of nature is informed by our increasingly technological and urban lives. His directorial work includes several environmentally-themed shorts such as TV (2018), ORANGE TRILL (2016), AS YOU PASS BY (2014) screened at New York Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, DOC NYC, Big Sky, and Edinburgh International FF. He’s created educational content for BBC, NY State Parks, and several museums and is the recipient of the 2018 Golden Gate Best New Vision Award.
