Liwaa Yazji

Liwaa Yazji is a filmmaker, play- and scriptwriter and poet. She was working as an actress and assistant director in films before directing her award-winning feature documentary HAUNTED. She is a jury member at the international Film Festival Freistadt. THE BROTHERS, a TV
script she wrote, was screened on several major pan Arab channels. The first production of her play GOATS was shown at the Royal Court Theatre in London. She places great emphasis on the craft of her narrative and an intimate relationship with her characters, which
is also visible in her choice of image composition.
