SWIMMING AND WATCHING THE BIRDS chronicles the fate of a number of individuals since the financial crisis. Designer, Gudrun Lilja, can’t get rid of her “Limited Edition” and may have to give up her house. Palin lost her job at the bank and now works in an ecovillage. Tradesman, Valdi, rents out his two houses while he lives in his garage. The anarchist author, Siggi Punk, predicted the crisis. Hannes has been unemployed since October and is worried about the coming winter. An intimate look at the aftermath of Iceland’s crisis. Anja Klauck
