Online-Plattformen sind die neuen TV-Kanäle, indem sie Video-Content und Publikum unmittelbar und flexibel zusammenführen. Filmschaffende können so ihre Inhalte direkt vertreiben oder sich mit Gleichgesinnten zu einer thematischen Plattform zusammenschließen. Bietet das Plattform-Modell damit auch ideale Bedingungen für die Ansprache eines engagierten Publikums? Zusammen mit dem Experten für Plattform-Ökonomie, Prof. Dr. Andreas Wagener, diskutieren die Filmemacher David Syz und Patrick M. Müller die Chancen und Risiken der neuen Vertriebsform.

Founder DOCMINE Overall responsibility Project GLOBATE

Patrick M. Müller is an award-winning film and content producer with experience in the film, television, digital and radio industries. He is the founder and co-owner of the production company DOCMINE, founded in 2009, based in Zurich and Berlin. He previously served on the board of Condor Films, Millbrook Pictures and Tom Talent Holding in Zurich. For DOCMINE, he has developed the new Videobook product, which combines videos, image galleries, interactive elements and text to create compelling stories for tablets. The video book "Carl Lutz - The Forgotten Hero" received the German eBook Award at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2014 and was voted "Best of App Store 2014" by Apple. For DOCMINE, Patrick M. Müller serves clients such as the airline SWISS, Swiss television, Arte, Swiss Re, the Swiss Foreign Ministry and various museums.

For television, he produced prime-time content for factual formats in the fields of business, nature and history, which were shown by international broadcasters such as BBC, ESPN, ZDF, 3SAT, Al Jazeera and SRF, as well as the first portrait of the Swiss tennis player Roger Federer. His artistically ambitious documentaries include "Beyond This Place" and "Goodnight Nobody," for which he has won more than a dozen international awards and has been featured at Cannes International Film Festival (Sélection ACID), Silverdoc's Washington DC, Leipzig, and Krakow ,

Patrick Müller graduated in film production, journalism and law at the University of Television and Film Munich and at the University of Freiburg.
