Film School Festival Portraits Croisés
Since 2008, an exchange programme called Portrairs Croisés takes place between the HFF Munich and INIS Montreal. For the duration of a month, this programme enables two students of each film school to live in the partner country a in order to shoot a short documentary film.

Forced to leave Syria in 2011, Yara longs for her country, destroyed by war. Time passing raises the fear of forgetting the familiar places of her life, left hanging. In her Munich appartment, Yara starts to understand she will have to build a new home.
