DOK.fest München 2021 @home came to a close on 23 May. 131 films from 43 countries were shown.

BABENCO: TELL ME WHEN I DIE – BABENCO: ALGUÉM TEM QUE OUVIR QUE OUVIR O CORAÇÃO E DIZER: PAROU (Brazil 2019, Bárbara Paz, DOK.international). An acclaimed director passes away. His wife dedicates a film to him. A tribute to the vitality of cinema.
SONGS OF REPRESSION (Denmark 2020, Estephan Wagner Marianne Hougen-Moraga, DOK.international). A site of torture turned holiday destination: the “Villa Baviera” of the former Colonia Dignidad.
VIVOS (Germany 2020, Ai Weiwei, DOK.international). The artist Ai Weiwei unravels a scandalous abduction case in Mexico.

SUSPENSIÓN – SUSPENSION (Colombia 2019, Simón Uribe, DOK.horizonte). A development project in the hills of Columbia develops into absurd theatre.
SOLO (Argentina, Czech Republic 2019, Artemio Benki, DOK.panorama). A pianist in a psychiatric clinic composes a piece of music that helps him take the first steps on the arduous path back to life.
LA CASA DE WANNSEE – THE HOUSE ON WANNSEE STREET (Argentina 2019, Poli Martínez Kaplun, DOK.focus lasting memories). Looking for and discovering identity: a Jewish family and its eventful history.
LOS ÚLTIMOS FRIKIS (Cuba, United States 2019, Nicholas Brennan, DOK.music). Right before their 30th birthday the first tour in their home country: The Cuban Heavy metal band Zeus.
