Die Schwestern Shanna und Mirte erleben gemeinsam phantasievolle Abenteuer auf ihrer kleinen „verlassenen“ Insel – einem magischen Ort, an dem bunte Schmetterlinge und kleine Wasserkreaturen vorbeikommen. Eigentlich ist Shanna die jüngere Schwester. Oft fühlt es sich jedoch nicht so an für sie, weil ihre Schwester Mirte das Downsyndrom hat.
