An ironic “documentary musical.” In August 2015 the Slovenian avant-garde cult group, Laibach, travelled to the capital of North Korea, Pyongyang, on the 70th anniversary of the country’s liberation from Japanese occupation, where they played two concerts of cover songs from THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
MY FRIEND BORIS NEMTSOV – MOI DRUG BORIS NEMTSOV (Estland 2016, Zosya Rodkevich, DOK.panorama). A personal portrait of Boris Nemtsov, one of the leaders of the Russian opposition and a well-known Putin critic who was shot on 27th February 2015 on a bridge not far from the Kremlin – to this day the case remains unsolved.

All that the thousands of prisoners here have to comfort them as they serve their time is singing in front of a mass audience.
