For the third time, we are giving the award for inclusive documentary film productions.
We are DOK.fest München and the Werksviertel-Mitte Foundation.
The award will be given at the 42nd DOK.fest München in May 2027.

The award honours documentary film productions.
What makes it special?
The film makers have a disability.
You can win 5,000 euros.
What does disability mean?
The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities defines what a disability is:
A disability can be:
- physical
- mental
- emotional
The disability can be visible or invisible.
The disability is long-term.
The disability restricts people's participation in society.
Conditions of participation
These are the conditions for participation:
- The film team must include at least one person with disabilities.
The film maker has one of the following leading tasks:
Production, direction, script, camera, sound or editing. - The subject of the film is arbitrary.
The film does not have to be about disability. - Film makers from all over the world can submit a film.
- The film must be at least 52 minutes long.
- The film must have been completed after 1 January 2026.
- The film can be shown in cinemas earlier.
- The film must not have been screened at a DOK.fest München.
- The film can be shown at the festival in any section.
- It can be a university film or a graduation film.
- 2 public screenings at the DOK.fest München are obligatory.

What positive effects did the film maker's disability on the work in the team? - We appreciate if you specify the degree of disability of the film makers.

Participation in the competition is independent of participation in DOK.fest München.
