kinokino Audience Award 2023 – sponsored by BR and 3sat

Voting for your personal film highlight!

With the kinokino Audience Award – donated by BR and 3sat, you have the opportunity to vote for your personal festival programme highlight at the dual DOK.fest München 2024. The name giver and media partner of the Audience Award is kinokino – Das Filmmagazin im Bayerischen Rundfunk | 3sat. The award is endowed with 2,000 euros, donated by BR, 3sat and DOK.fest München.

Which films are nominated?

All current feature-length films shown in the regular film programme of DOK.fest München 2024 in cinemas and/or online are nominated for the kinokino Audience Award – donated by BR and 3sat. Excluded are older films that we show as part of our Homage, the In Memoriam section, the film screenings in the Great Hall of the Deutsches Theater (Ganz großes Kino) and films of the Student Award.

Shortlist

During the festival we will publish the shortlist here daily.

How does the voting work?

After you have seen a film in the cinema, you can put your ticket in the kinokino boxes provided at the exit and thus vote for the film. Award ceremonies are an exception: For these, voting cannot take place after the film.

Votes can be cast from Thursday, 2 May up to and including Thursday, 9 May 2024, with counting taking place on 10 May.

Award Ceremony

The winning film will be honoured at the main award ceremony on Saturday, 11 May 2024 at 7.30pm at Amerikahaus and then shown as the closing film of the festival.

We would like to thank our award donor very much:
