Johann Schilling

Student Director Documentary

His church background enabled Johann to realise theatre and film projects on his own responsibility at an early age. After graduating from high school, he lived in Georgia for a year, where he coordinated and implemented youth programmes for a local NGO. As an intern at various production companies, including Komplizen Film, he learned a lot about film, people and making coffee. Foreignness and the view of people who seem invisible in the postmodern world are the definitive themes for his artistic work, which he has been expanding and continuing since 2020 at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in the subject of directing. He likes to create memes.

Denis Pavlovic

From 2009 to 2013, Pavlovic produced and shot his first two self-financed, feature-length documentaries about the underground graffiti scene in southern Germany and Stuttgart's dying club culture as part of the construction work surrounding the "Stuttgart 21" railway station project. Since 2015, student of directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Over the years, he has produced and directed several documentaries and feature films of all lengths, which have been shown at film festivals worldwide. Together with editor Julia Meyer-Pavlovic, he founded the Hamburg-based film production company "Glass Frog Films'', which specialises in documentaries, feature films and commercials. He is currently working on various projects ranging from the Canary Islands to Croatia and the Ukrainian border in Transnistria.
