ÓLEO SOBRE VIENTO (Spain, Switzerland 2018, Alejandro Perez, Student Award). An island in the glittering sunlight, a cabin to live in, olive trees, water and wind. A wonderfully enigmatic short film about the dream of a simple life. A cine-poem that asks the question: is less more?
FROM KNEE TO HEART – DE RODILLAS CORAZÓN (Spain 2018, Susanna Barranco, DOK.panorama). Sol Picó is a living legend of modern dance. Known for her strength and passion, at the age of 50 she is at a turning point in her career. Ageing and an injury force her to confront the transient nature of her creative power.
HÁLITO AZUL – BLUE BREATH (Finland, France, Portugal 2018, Rodrigo Areias, DOK.panorama). The Ribeira Quente parish in the Azores is fighting for survival. The fish that the people live on is becoming more and more scarce. With a poetic eye, Rodrigo Areias accompanies them as they face an uncertain future.
