Manuel Föhl

Film educator and director

After several years working on film sets as a camera assistant and interior prop master, Manuel Föhl decided to study film theory. After completing his studies in film studies and art history in Mainz, Manuel Föhl worked independently in the field of film education and outreach for an extended period. Since 2024, he has been working full-time in the film education department of the DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut und Filmmuseum in Frankfurt. Among other things, he helps organise the SchulKinoWochen Hessen, conducts workshops with school classes and provides further training for teachers. He also holds film discussions for the SchulKinoWochen in Rhineland-Palatinate and Hamburg and directs smaller film projects himself.
