Céline Hirtreiter

Céline Hirtreiter is currently studying Cultural Mediation and International Communication at the University of Nantes. Previously, she studied Translation and Interpretation in German, French, and English at the SDI International University in Munich, as well as Art History with a minor in Ancient and Oriental Studies at the LMU Munich. Even back then, her focus was on the film industry, as her bachelor’s thesis analyzed the humor in the German dubbing of the film La Folie des grandeurs by French director Gérard Oury.

Her interest in various art forms is also evident in her practical experience: she had the opportunity to work at the German short film festival Univerciné, wrote exhibition texts for the contemporary graduate exhibition Entre Chienne et Louve at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, and developed a podcast on French soft power in the music and film industries.

Excited about films, international projects, and cultural mediation, she has landed in the right place to be as an intern at DOK.education!
