Immerse yourself in virtual art and nature – In 2026, DOK.fest München, in collaboration with XR HUB Bavaria and die Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum, will present three artistic virtual reality experiences and a 180° video at the Futuro House, a design icon created by architect Matti Suuronen in 1968. Outdoors, guests can experience a mixed reality application and design an augmented reality application.

Six immersive works unfold a multifaceted panorama between art, technology, and social reflection. While INSIDER OUTSIDER combines music, visuals, and movement into an immersive experience, DANCE DANCE DANCE takes viewers on a dance-filled journey through the iconic images of Henri Matisse. OUT OF NOWHERE focuses on an increasingly extreme climate and combines nature conservation with the question of our own future. SPACE TIME LAYERING uses AR to create interactive spaces of memory, while BEYOND MY SKIN opens up new forms of post-digital encounters between bodies in mixed reality. BELONGING accompanies Morag Myerscough and her vision of spaces for encounter and community.
