Workshop with Julian Janssen: Speaking to the camera
You want to speak in front of the camera on TV, YouTube, Instagram or in your own film, and you have no idea what to be aware of? Ask the expert!

The workshop with host Julian Janssen introduces you to the most important rules: How to stay cool in front of the camera? What do I have to keep in mind when speaking and how do I prepare myself well? Julian will show you how he works at KiKA as Checker-Julian and what you can learn from it for your own moderation at any occasion. Bring your questions to Julian - because at DOK.fest Munich you will meet the moderator in person in the workshop room.
Thank you very much for your support: the workshop is an appreciated cooperation with BR Medienkompetenzprojekte. You can find more of BR's media education programs for young people, students and teachers here.
Julian Janssen
Julian Janssen has been known as "Checker Julian" since 2018. For the children's science show of the same name on KiKA and ARD, he checks out everything that interests children and tackles exciting questions: How to build a roller coaster? How does a submarine descend and resurface? How do astronauts walk on the moon? After school, Julian studied media science and practice as well as German language and literature. He gained his first moderation experience at the student radio station and tried himself as an actor in small films and on the theatre stage during his studies. To explain to children challenging issues as funny and understandable as possible - that's Julian's dream job.
