After the screening of his documentary SONG FROM THE FOREST Author/filmmaker Michael Obert will have a discussion together with photographer Matthias Ziegler. In 2012 FotoDoks showed Matthias Zieglers photographic cycle about this story. In 2013, Michael Obert highlighted the festival’s program with his lecture about a shocking report from Egypt. With this year’s German premiere of SONG FROM THE FOREST by Obert at the DOK.fest, the circle closes: on a panel discussion, the author and photographer will talk to- gether about the development and process of the project. They will reveal background and details. Moreover they will report on their connection to Louis Sarno, which still has kept an unusual intensity beyond the film itself.
