Sabine Janowitz

Inclusion consultant and media educator

Sabine Janowitz was born in Regensburg and studied education for children with disabilities in Munich. She has been working as a teacher for children with special needs for over twenty years and has been working at an inclusive elementary school for more than ten years. There, she has realized numerous film projects with her students—from stop-motion productions to homeschooling videos to instructional films for the school garden. Her studies in media education provided an important foundation for this.

However, her passion for film has been with her for much longer: she has repeatedly participated in film projects, supported film shoots, and developed her own cinematic ideas. Eventually, she also made her own documentary film. She is currently setting up her own business as an inclusion consultant. She now happily contributes her enthusiasm for film and media education to DOK.education, especially where inclusive perspectives and cinematic communication can be meaningfully combined.
