Over the past 40 years, DOK.fest München has grown into Germany’s largest documentary film festival and one of Europe’s most significant platforms for documentary cinema. We see documentary film as an art form that employs cinematic aesthetics to explore meaningful values and foster dialogue on social, personal, and artistic levels. Every May and throughout the year our carefully curated selection of outstanding documentaries from around the world reaches an ever-growing, engaged, and thoughtful audience.
