ONLINE: Schule des Sehens 2022

The Online-Kinosäle of Schule des Sehens

Welcome to Schule des Sehens 2023 of DOK.education, the educational program of the International Documentary Film Festival Munich.

We are looking forward to welcome school classes back to the cinema from May 5th to May 12th 2023! Starting in April you can register your class for the 90-minute educational film workshops.

In addition, school classes from Bavaria and Germany can enjoy the cultural trip to the film festival. After completing the registration online, teachers can use our educational program: in the classroom, in distance schooling or as homework. At the cinema as well as at the online cinema, your school class will meet filmmakers and watch an age-based short documentary, accompanied by a film educational expert. Our pedagogical material for schools ensures a lasting experience.

The educational program of Schule des Sehens is only available in German language.

More about the Online-Kinosäle

Choose the right film for your class based on the short description and register for the Schule des Sehens.

After your registration, you will receive the educational material as well as your personal access to the password-protected online cinema room. There, your school class will find the documentary film (1), the video seminar (2), worksheets (3) and various fun facts on cinema, that will turn our trip to the online festival into a real adventure. We enable a personal encounter with the filmmaker (4) online via zoom.

You can just watch the film – or ad corresponding lessons from the program. The program is suitable for either one to six lessons for classroom or distance learning. The Schule des Sehens offer four modules per film:

Module 1 – „Film ab!" – online film screening (~20 Min)
Module 2 – „Blick hinter die Kulissen" – online video seminar with the filmmaker (~15 Min)
Module 3 – „Begleitmaterial & Arbeitsblätter" – educational material for the teacher
Module 4 – „Persönliche Begegnung" – live encounter with the filmmaker Gespräch

Here you can register from mid-April on for the Schule des Sehens by DOK.education.
