QC+BY Doc Co-Pro – Quebec-Bavarian training programme

Call for co-production projects for emerging documentary producers (linear, interactive and Virtual Reality) both in Quebec and Bavaria.

New Quebec-Bavarian training programme

Together with Doc Circuit Montreal, the industry platform of Montreal International Documentary Festival, DOK.forum Munich set up a brand-new joint two-year programme. Three emerging producers from Quebec and three from Bavaria have the opportunity to work together on new co-productions on both sides of the Atlantic and will be provided with a new network of collaborators, training, masterclasses, individual mentorship and networking events.

First workshop was a great start

The selected producers met for the very first time in Montreal at the RIDM festival and the DOC Circuit market in November 2018. In addition to attending the industry sessions, the participants in the QC-BY Doc Co-Pro initiative work closely together to develop their projects and jointly tackle the challenges and opportunities of international co-production. The group of six young film teams will meet for the second workshop in Munich during the DOK.forum Marketplace from May 8th to 11th, 2019.

A big thank you to our funders and supporters, the Ministère de la Culture et des communications and the Bavarian state chancellery for making this new parntership between Québec and Bavaria possible.
