Save the Date: The 42nd DOK.fest München

With international documentary films, premieres and exceptional discoveries, we’re bringing the world to the big screen in Munich’s cinemas and at our special screening venues from 5 to 17 May 2027. In addition, as in previous years, the festival will be coming exclusively to your homes across Germany via our @home programme from 10 to 23 May 2027.

Beyond daily news coverage, our films showcase real people, strong relationships and the everyday realities across the globe. Our thematic sections and established competitions will guide you unerringly through the programme and help you put together a personalised list of films. And with DOK.forum and DOK.education, the festival also provides a meeting place for the film industry, schools and a wide audience.

The first programme announcements will be available here starting in March 2027.
Advance ticket sales begin on 14 April.
