The 41st DOK.fest München

106 cutting-edge documentary films from 49 countries will be screened at DOK.fest München from May 6 to 25, 2026, offering viewers new perspectives on today's world. These include 20 world premieres, 9 international premieres and 45 German premieres.
Going beyond daily news coverage, they tell stories of people, relationships, and the realities of life in a wide variety of regions. The program is structured around thematic sections such as “Visions of the Future” or “HerStory – Films about Fearless Women”, as well as high-stakes competitions and special focuses like DOK.network Africa and the Student Award.
With the industry platform DOK.forum and the educational program DOK.education, the festival also serves as a meeting place for the film industry, schools, and a broad audience.

DOK.fest Munich stays dual: To ensure the widest possible participation, we’re bringing the festival both to the big screens in Munich and, in an accessible format, right to your home.
