Johanna von Websky

Assistant to the Managing Director, programme selection, steering committee

Johanna von Websky has been a member of the management board at DOK.fest München since autumn 2025. She has been working as Executive Management Officer since 2019, where she is responsible, among other things, for partner communications, personnel management, and the coordination of festival venues. In addition, she is part of the DOK.fest München programme team. Her career with the festival began in 2015 as Head of Film Administration, before she transitioned to the executive office four years later. Moreover, she serves as a board member of Leonrod Haus für Film und Kunst e.V. Over the years, she has also been a member of various festival juries, including DocsBarcelona International Documentary Film Festival, Verzio International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, and Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival.

Johanna studied Spanish and English/American Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Seville. From 2008 to 2011, she worked in the field of visual arts, film, and new media at Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, focusing on film. She later joined Prix Jeunesse International.
