German Delegation at Nordisk Panorama Forum 2022

Nordisk Panorama

The Forum

25-27 September 2022 in Malmö, Sweden

Nordisk Panorama Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries is the main funding event for the Nordic documentary community. With around 300 participants, 48 projects presented and more than 600 scheduled individual meetings, it is the annual meeting place for documentary producers, directors, commissioning editors from tv, film institutes and regional film funds, international decision-makers and other film professionals. Nordisk Panorama Forum is the gateway to the Nordic region known for high profile documentaries. The Forum is an integrated part of Nordisk Panorama Film Festival.

Since 2010, Nordisk Panorama has invited a small delegation of documentary producers from outside the Nordic countries to participate in the forum. The aim is to facilitate connections between the Nordic countries and other territories and strengthen co-production ties.

Producers Meet Producers

The main activity for the delegation producers is the networking event Producers Meet Producers on Sunday 25 September, featuring snappy presentations, tailored match-making and round table discussions. Here the producers will present themselves to a selection of Nordic producers and outline their production landscape in order to create new networks, find suitable co-production partners and form the bonds necessary to access funds across borders. The event will also feature insight into the Nordic film institutes’ rules and requirements.

The delegation producers are also invited to apply for pitching and meetings on the same terms as their Nordic/Baltic colleagues by submitting a project application by 20 May 2022. 24 projects are selected to pitch and an additional 20+ projects are selected as observer +, giving access to pre-booked meetings with decision-makers. You can read more about the forum here and the guidelines and requirements for project applications.

More than 80 decision-makers representing major Nordic broadcasters, film institutes and regional film funds as well as international decision-makers attend the forum. You can see a list of the decision-makers who attended the 2021 forum here.
