In cooperation with Bayern Design, DOK.fest presents outstanding innovative documentary formats every year at MCBW and DOK.forum. The screening benches created by Bayern Design give an insight into the web projects.

The screening benches are publicly available at the opening hours of the festival lounge (9:00 to 24:00) during the festival.

Dadaism celebrates its 100th birthday still as subversive as on the first day. DADA DATA is the digital birthday party for Hugo Ball, Emmy Hennings, Tristan Tzara and all those revolting against conventions right now. A transmedia project for the fearless who appreciate the sense in nonsense. During the first weeks DADA DATA already attracted more than 200,000 visitors.

 

GENERATION WHAT?

GENERATION WHAT? is a European multimedia project for TV, web and radio. An interactive website and four documentaries create the picture of the young generation aged between 18 and 34 years. After one week 30,000 people participated in the survey.

 

REFUGEE REPUBLIC

The world of refugee camps: The award-winning webdoc REFUGEE REPUBLIC shows us the refugee camp DOMIZ in North Iraq, about half an hour away from the Syrian border, giving an insight into the daily life beyond the news: a camp that was built for 38,000 refugees in 2012 and now offers sanctuary to more than 58,000 people.
