LOST IN FACE
Where the eyes, nose and mouth are makes no difference to Carlotta. She can’t recognise faces, even her own. The neuroscientist Valentin Riedl enables us to enter Carlotta’s world: with tactile self-portraits her face – and her self – become accessible to her.

Valentin Riedl studied medicine at the TUM in Munich and neuroscience at the LMU and received a research grant from the WHO. He works as a scientist at the TUM. For LOST IN FACE he received the Max Ophüls Audience Award for the best documentary film.
