THE CAVE

400,000 people were trapped in the bombing hail over East Ghouta in early 2018. Feras Fayyad accompanies the paediatrician Amami Ballour's tireless struggle at close quarters. In an underground clinic, she is simultaneously a "white angel" and witness of a time of war.

We present the German premiere of the film at DOK.fest München 2020 @home.

 

 

Biography

The exiled filmmaker Feras Fayyad studied audiovisual art and directing at the EICAR in Paris before making his international breakthrough with an Oscar nomination and an Emmy for LAST MEN IN ALEPPO. For THE CAVE he was nominated for an Oscar for the second time.
