Simon Lereng Wilmont

Born in Copenhagen, Wilmont graduated in documentary film directing from the National Film School of Denmark in 2009. Since 2015 he has been shooting in Eastern Ukraine. With THE DISTANT BARKING OF DOGS, which tells the story of growing up in a war zone, he won numerous international awards. His follow-up film A HOUSE MADE OF SPLINTERS won a best director award at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
