Sneak preview of BECOMING KIM at Theatiner Filmkunst on 25 August
Kimchi & potatoes forever? When her marriage begins to falter, Susanne Kim starts filming herself and her husband to figure out whether love is all it takes. She observes, she listens, and she confronts socially constructed role stereotypes. In cleverly staged self-portraits, she gives visible form to her dreams and doubts. The result is a film that is as honest as it is humorous, exploring love in the real world and the courage to publicly examine a relationship.
Shortly before the cinema release of BECOMING KIM on 27 August, director Susanne Kim will be a guest at Theatiner Filmkunst on Tuesday 25 August. As part of a post-screening conversation she will offer exclusive insights into her work.
You can buy tickets directly at the venue or book them here.
BECOMING KIM had its world premiere as part of the Interdependence section at the 41st DOK.fest Munich and was nominated for the DOK.deutsch competition.
