Every vote counts – the current top ten for the kinokino Audience Award

Who will take the prize? Voting for the kinokino Audience Award at DOK.fest München 2026 is in full swing – and the excitement is building. That’s because here, the festival audience alone decides who wins the award. The current top ten reveals which films are particularly moving, inspiring, and memorable this year. Voting is done digitally – via QR code immediately after the screening at the venue.

The kinokino Audience Award is endowed with 2,000 euros, sponsored by BR and 3sat. The award is named after and supported by kinokino – The Film Magazine on Bayerischer Rundfunk | 3sat.

You can vote until Friday, May 15 – the winning film will then be honored at the main awards ceremony on Saturday, May 16, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the HFF’s Audimax and screened immediately afterward.
