What is it like to witness the release of an endangered bird into the wild? What is life like for a teenager with autism? And what can young recruits expect during military service?

For the Schule des Sehens 2026, DOK.education has curated three short documentaries that explore moving topics in the realities of young people's lives. At the same time, these particularly artistic films train the eye to see truth and reality.

In cinema workshops during the 41st DOK.fest München in May and in online cinemas from May to July 2026, pupils learn to understand films from a creative perspective and develop social sensitivity and media literacy. We are delighted to present the programme of the Schule des Sehens.
