DOK.education new management

With the start of autumn, DOK.education is kicking off its next season under new management: Kathi Seemann and Mona Klöckner will continue to run the educational programme at DOK.fest Munich.

Kathi Seemann is a photographer and designer. She has been involved in film education and programme selection at DOK.fest Munich since 2020. Her focus at DOK.education is on extracurricular and inclusive film education programmes. She is also project manager of the new all inclusive Award for filmmakers with disabilities at DOK.fest Munich.

Mona Klöckner is an ethnologist and film educator. In addition to co-directing her own documentary films and working as a production assistant, she has been leading documentary film workshops for all age groups since 2012. She joined the DOK.education team in 2022 and is responsible for the further development of the European film platform Nextus.

The third member of the team is Anna Hofer, previously part of the DOK.fest editorial team. As former coordinator of the school and children's programme at the International Youth Library, she brings extensive experience in the field of education. Maya Reichert, long-time director of DOK.education and now deputy director of DOK.fest Munich, will remain with the team as a strategic advisor.
