This was our anniversary edition!

The anniversary edition of DOK.fest München came to an end the day before yesterday: after the last day of the festival in cinemas on 18 May, the films were shown @home for another week. In addition to the 36,000 viewers and guests in all venues, there were 19,500 more @home and in the online cinemas by DOK.education. In total, the 2025 festival edition reached around 55,500 people.

2,200 industry professionals participated in this year's DOK.forum edition, in a rich programme of 34 events over six days. We hope they experienced inspiring moments during the pitch sessions, talks and meetings, and that news contactes have been fostered.

The DOK.education team reached 2,241 participants at the cinema this year. Almost 70 school classes took part in the 90-minute workshops at the HFF Munich, the Gasteig HP8 and the Pasinger Fabrik. Until the end of the school year the workshops are available online for teachers throughout Germany - and over 7,000 pupils have already registered.

Safe the date: The 41 DOK.fest München will take place from 6 until 24 May 2026.
