Amid crumbling walls, barbecues, and corner stores: After the Abkhazian War in the early 1990s, hundreds of refugees were housed in a former sanatorium in Tbilisi. What was initially intended as a temporary solution has been ongoing to this day, giving rise to a community as fragile as it is affectionate, reflecting solidarity and hope for a different life.
