KROPPEN MIN
Norwegen 2002 – Director: Margreth Olin – Original language: norwegisch – Subtitles: English – Length: 26 min.
"Lean back, lower your shoulders, breathe deeply. No one is judging you. Slowly. In...and out. But don't close your eyes, because you're at the movies. You're here to wake up. You'll hear a story I thought I'd never tell. It's about my secrets. The story of my body."
There is really not much wrong with Margreth's body. Still, right from childhood, she was told many things that were wrong with her looks. She filed them in her memory and never forgot. Especially women were always finding fault with her body in one way or another. The short documentary tells an extremely personal and at the same time recognisable story. Kroppen min is a beautifully composed film. It's especially the combination of candour and restraint that makes it a cogent, significant documentary.
