After German reunification, Berlin became one of the country’s most exciting cities and a magnet for people from across the globe. However the city’s transformation has led to challenges: the political structures are complex, its capability to govern is questioned and its chequered history leads to a clash of interests. Biography

Florian Opitz, born in Saarbrücken, is a filmmaker, author, journalist and producer. He studied law, history, psychology and American literature in Heidelberg and Cologne. Since 1997 he has made numerous award-winning documentaries for cinema and TV.
