We cordially invite you to the award ceremony of the main prizes of the 41st DOK.fest München. In the presence of the award winners, prize donors and juries, we will award our three main prizes and two further festival prizes in a festive setting: the VIKTORIA DOK.international Main Competition, the VIKTORIA DOK.deutsch Competition and the VIKTORIA DOK.horizonte - Cinema of Urgency, as well as the megaherz Student Award and the kinokino Audience Award.

After the award ceremony the film WHEN PIGS FLY will be shown.
Please note: The event comprises the awards ceremony and the film screening. Once the event has started, no late admissions will be permitted.

Pigs as farm animals? Or perhaps something to cuddle? And if pig hearts can soon be transplanted into humans, won't that raise entirely new issues? Are the boundaries between species becoming blurred? A film set between a university laboratory and an animal sanctuary that never attempts to lecture, but instead poses insightful questions and uncovers some astonishing discoveries. J.S.

Biography

Denise Riedmayr studied documentary film directing at the HFF Munich. She works as a freelance filmmaker and as an author, director, and editor at Bayerischer Rundfunk. In 2021, she received the Starter Film Award from the City of Munich.
